Rock Solid Reading

So many books today aren't worth the paper they are written on. Of course, that's a matter of opinion. The reason we at Boulder Pier Press have chosen the books we have is that they are quality reads. We stick by our motto- Rock Solid Reading! It comes from Psalm 18:2 which states that God is our Rock! You can't be any stronger than that!

With that in mind, most, if not all of the books you'll find at Boulder Pier Press can be enjoyed by the whole family. It's rare these days that you can pick up an actual novel to read with the whole family. Why not read with your kids Alice in Wonderland? A Journey to the Interior of the Earth? Both of these books will take you on a fantastic adventure. You could even do the voices of the characters to make it more exciting. What ever book you choose to read, just enjoy it...cover to cover whether you like the looks of the cover or not. It's a great way to spend quailty time with you family.

The Emigrant Mechanic and Other Tales in Verse

The Emigrant Mechanic was written over the process of serveral years by my Great-great-great Uncle Thomas Cowherd when he came to the great city of Brantford, Ontario from England. He was one of Alexander Graham Bell's assistants and he and his sons had the very first telephone manufacturing company in the world. Unfortantly the building was torn down before it's historical value was discoverd. Despite all this, Thomas Cowherd's legacy lives on in The Emigrant Mechanic and Other Tales in Verse. Chronicling his life, Thomas Cowherd gives his account of Canada's history in verse. He brings to light his family life, Brantford, Ontario, Canada's happenings and his faith in Jesus. This paperback edition is 390 pages, 5.5" x 8.5" and can be yours for $23.99. If you want to discover Canada's people and histroy in a not so typical way, click on the cover image to order your very own copy of The Emigrant Mechanic today.
