He was one of Alexander Graham Bell's assistants and he and his sons had the very first telephone manufacturing company in the world. Unfortantly the building was torn down before it's historical value was discoverd. Despite all this, Thomas Cowherd's legacy lives on in The Emigrant Mechanic and Other Tales in Verse. Chronicling his life, Thomas Cowherd gives his account of Canada's history in verse. He brings to light his family life, Brantford, Ontario, Canada's happenings and his faith in Jesus.
